How can counselling help?
Counselling can help you live more mindfully in the present and to feel more peaceful and connected to the world. Your counsellor is there to listen patiently, without any judgement, to be impartial and can offer solace to you if a session gets difficult. A lot of the time, it can be recollections, distressing memories or conversations that might be causing you problems. Discussing them and how they have made you feel can help you make sense.
There are many approaches to counselling and from our experience it best to find a therapist who offers an integrative approach as opposed to one approach to fit all. A fully qualified professional Muslim counsellor will help you explore your concerns, provide insights and practical exercises to help you problem solve and change behavior patterns that may contribute to your symptoms
